PRIVACY NOTICE
What I do with your details.
Plain version: I only collect what I need to reply to you and run the service, I do not sell anything to anyone, and you can tell me to delete it whenever you like.

Who I am
FundraiserMap is run by Michael Molden, a sole trader based in Stockport, United Kingdom. I am the data controller for the information described below.
You can contact me at hello@fundraisermap.co.uk.
What I collect, why, and on what basis
If you ask for a free trial through the form on this site: your name, work email, agency name and roughly how many fundraisers you have. I use it to reply to you, set up your account, and talk to you about the trial. Lawful basis: legitimate interests, namely answering a business enquiry you started, and then contract once your trial is running.
If you book a call through my booking page: your name, email, anything you type into the booking form, and the time you picked. Lawful basis: legitimate interests, namely arranging a meeting you asked for.
If you email me: whatever is in your email. Lawful basis: legitimate interests, namely replying to you.
If you use the free rota checker: your spreadsheet stays in your browser and is never sent to me. The postcodes in it are sent to postcodes.io to find their locations, without names. If you choose to fill in the optional card after a check, I save the role, team size and email you type, plus how many fundraisers and rows were in your rota. Lawful basis: your consent, which you give by sending the card.
If I contact you first, because I found you or your agency through a public source such as your own website, Companies House or LinkedIn: your name, job title, work email or work phone number, and the agency you work for. Lawful basis: legitimate interests, namely business to business marketing of a product relevant to your job. The source is always public and it is recorded. Tell me to stop at any time and I delete your details.
If you use the app as a customer, or as a fundraiser at a customer agency: your agency decides what is collected and why, and I hold it on their instructions. Ask your agency for their privacy notice. In that situation I am a processor, not a controller, and there is a separate written agreement between me and your agency covering it.
This site still puts no cookies on your device. I use Vercel Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages get read. Vercel states that it uses no cookies, that visitors are identified by a hash made from the request which is discarded after 24 hours, that what is recorded is anonymous and not tied to any individual or IP address, and that visitors cannot be tracked from this site to any other. What it collects is the page visited, the site you came from, and rough location, device and browser. My host, Vercel, also keeps standard server logs to deliver and secure the site.
Who else sees it
A small number of suppliers, each doing one job:
- Formspree, which delivers the trial form to my inbox.
- Google Workspace, my email and calendar.
- Cal.com, the booking page.
- Vercel, hosting for this site and the app, and the visit counting described above.
- Supabase, the app's database and logins.
- Resend, which sends rota emails from the app.
- Google Maps Platform and postcodes.io, which turn postcodes into locations and travel times. Postcodes are sent to these. Names are not.
Some of these suppliers are outside the United Kingdom. Where that is the case, the transfer relies on the UK's adequacy regulations or on the International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum, as set out in each supplier's own terms.
I do not sell your data, and I do not share it with anyone else unless the law requires it.
How long I keep it
- Trial enquiries that do not become customers: 12 months, then deleted.
- Booking records: 12 months.
- Rota checker details: 12 months, then deleted.
- Visit statistics: 30 days, which is all the free plan keeps. Nothing in them identifies you.
- Customer records: for the life of the account, then 6 years, because that is how long UK tax and accounting rules require business records to be kept.
- Outreach contacts: until you ask me to stop, or until the agency is clearly not a prospect.
- Customer account data inside the app: deleted when the account closes, or handed back first if you ask.
Your rights
You can ask me for a copy of your data, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict what I do with it, or to object to it being used. You can also ask for it in a portable format. There is no charge and I reply within one month.
Where I rely on legitimate interests you can object, and I stop unless I have a compelling reason not to. For marketing there is no such reason: if you object, I stop.
If you think I have handled your data badly, please tell me first so I can put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Automated decisions
None. Nothing here decides anything about you automatically, and there is no profiling.
Changes
If this notice changes, the date at the top changes with it.
Any of the above, or anything I have not covered: email hello@fundraisermap.co.uk and I will answer you myself.
